Explosives Storage Training

Explosives Storage Management - ESM

This 5 day course is designed to introduce students to the basic requirements for storing Explosives, Substances & Articles (ESA) in accordance with statutory legislation.

Organisations engaged in the Explosives Sector are required to satisfy the requirements of Explosives Regulations 2014 (ER 2014) or DSA 03 - OME. Both sets of regulations call for the demonstration of an individuals training and competency for the work and DSA 03 - OME specifically requires that this must be demonstrated against the standards of best practice and these are the National Occupational Standards (NOS) for Explosives Substances & Articles (ESA).

The course is largely aimed at individuals who will become responsible for the safe storage of explosives and munitions and who have little or no formal knowledge of explosives. It is also appropriate for other more experienced explosives workers who need to formalise their vocational qualifications through an academic award.

This course is available publicly and for in country presentation. If required, its scope and content can be customised and made appropriate for the existing experience and previous training of the nominated students and for the specific activities of the organisation.

For full content and NOS, please request the course data sheet below.

This course is endorsed by the Institute of Explosives Engineers (IExpE).
