The skills and experiences acquired over many years spent in environments ranging from fully resourced and equipped barracks to spartan, remote and dangerous climates cannot be matched by any civilian employers’ staff development regimes.  In short, the package the ex-service man and woman offers is unique.

I enlisted in Aug 1979 and served a full 22-year career as an Ammunition Technician in the RAOC & then the RLC. The majority of my ‘in-trade’ employment was spent in (what is now) 11 EOD Regt RLC, serving in Tidworth, Hounslow, Aldershot, Liverpool, Hereford, Herford, Bielefeld and Didcot.

Our colleague cycles for Help for Heroes

On Saturday 27 September, our Office Manager Lynn and her friend Jane will be in the Matalan Retail store in Salisbury cycling on the turbo trainer in preparation for the Big Battlefield Bike Ride 2015 (BBBR).

“This will be the first in many fundraising events we will do, to help us achieve our target of raising £5,000 for the Help for Heroes charity.” Says Lynn.

Appointment of new Explosives Instructor for ISSEE

Jon Clarke, better known as “BJ” in the industry, has been a qualified Improvised Explosive Devices Disposal (IEDD) team leader since 1986. Jon joined ISSEE as a Explosives’ consultant and instructor in May 2014 following 22 years in the British Army and 11 years as Deputy Senior Explosives Officer in the Metropolitan Police EOD Unit. Jon will be responsible for the delivery of IEDD and other specialist explosives courses both in the UK and abroad.
