Overview

This standard covers the competences you need to contribute to the disposal task for explosive substances and/or articles in accordance with approved procedures and practices.

You will be required to demonstrate that you can carry out any final predisposal checks as directed, using the equipment, consumables and services correctly during the task in accordance with approved procedures.

This activity is likely to be undertaken by someone whose work role involves Weapons, Ordnance, Munitions or Explosives work activities. This includes people working as disposal operators and general explosives workers.

Performance Criteria

P1 work safely at all times, complying with health and safety, environmental and other relevant regulations, legislation and guideline
P2 carry out any final pre-disposal checks as directed
P3 use the equipment, consumables and services correctly during the task
P4 maintain the work environment as directed
P5 record data and information as directed
P6 carry out the task as directed
P7 report any problems beyond your level of authority to the appropriate person
