We're excited to announce our attendance to the UK Home Office Security & Policing event at Farnborough next week (12th to 14th March)! 

ISSEE Director Technical Operations, Daniel Carter, alongside the UK Defence & Security Export Support Team, will be conducting daily live demonstrations of counter EO equipment.

EOD Operator Course

International EOD Operator Course - Morocco

23rd February 2024

ISSEE have successfully delivered an International Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) Operator course for the Counter Explosive Ordnance Defence Engagement (CEDE) office at the Royal Police Institute in Kenitra, Morocco.

Policemen of the Bomb Technician Central Services (SCA) were taught United Kingdom (UK) Ministry of Defence Improvised Explosive Device Disposal (IEDD) best practice and all students were successful on the course! Well done to the students and ISSEE’s Advanced IEDD training team!

International Ammunition Technician Course

Inaugural International Ammunition Technician Course

11th January 2024

ISSEE are extremely proud to be delivering the inaugural International Ammunition Technician Course for 12 promising students from 8 nations.

The opening ceremony was attended by the sponsor Ministry of Defence (MOD), International Defence Training Army (IDT(A)), and the Authority, Counter EO Defence Engagement (CEDE) Office. Students were addressed by Daniel Carter (Director of Technical Operations), and guest speakers Lt. Col. James Askew and Lt. Col. Andy Lewis. CEDE Office was represented by Bert Appleton (Head of CEDE) and Kim Hughes GC (Technical Adviser).

EX TIGER FELIX JUMP 23

Personnel from 11 EOD & S Regiment recently deployed on exercise Tiger Felix Jump, a skydiving expedition to California, USA.

The aim of this exciting trip was to qualify as A license skydivers – which allows individuals to jump on their own with no instructors. This was achieved using the Accelerated Freefall course which consisted of 8 levels of jumping, ranging from two instructors at the start to finishing the course and jumping on your own. A further 10 consolidation jumps are then required to become a licensed skydiver.

Thank you to everyone who attended the Export Support Team (EST) Mini Trade Show at Larkhill Exhibition Centre (LEC).

An enjoyable day speaking to industry partners and delegates from across Africa, Iraq and Nepal who received a guided tour of the LEC - including the UK Capability Showcase, viewing the very best of British industry. It was great to be able to showcase our EOD equipment and promote our training solutions.

Bruneian Ammunition Technician Graduation

24th June 2022

Last week, we held a graduation ceremony for students from the Bruneian Armed Forces who successfully graduated from our International Ammunition Technician Course.  The students have now qualified as Ammunition Technicians and their certificates were presented to them by our chairman, Paul Sandford and Lt Kol Mahd Hairy Erwandy bin Hj Raya of the Bruneian Armed Forces.

ISSEE Delivers Training for the Royal Navy of Oman

In the last three weeks, we had students from the Royal Navy of Oman attend our Explosive Storage & Area Management Course.

This course covered topics such as Explosive Storage Inspections, Safety & Control of Explosive Areas, Principles of Explosive Storage, and Explosive Legislation & Safety Requirements.

It was our pleasure to be able to present them with their hard earned certificates

ISSEE Provides ANAMA EOD Training

23rd May 2022

Throughout February and March, ISSEE delivered EOD Level 3 and 3+ training to the Deminers of the Azerbaijan National Agency for Mine Action (ANAMA). The course built upon existing skills and experience of making safe Explosives Remnants of War (ERW) in a post conflict situation but also introduced the students to IEDs and Armoured Fighting Vehicle (AFV) Clearance amongst other new skills conducted.

 

 

The training incorporated many different Low Order Techniques on a wide selection of recovered UXO, Logistic Demolitions and specialist techniques.

We recently had three students from the UAE Military graduate on our flagship International Ammunition Technician course. This course lasted for 24 weeks, and the students learnt how to safely identify, handle, repair, store, manage and dispose of munitions and explosive nature. Update from our CEO

I’m grateful for the opportunity to be able to update all our customers, friends and well-wishers on how ISSEE continues to operate during these challenging times.

As I wrote in my last report, we were forced to close our training facilities and our staff have worked from home as advised by the UK Government. This also meant that our students attending the International Ammunition Technician’s course were also confined, in isolation, to their accommodation.

Glyn brought his expertise to ISSEE as an instructor after a 25-year career spent within Search, IEDD and Conventional Munition Disposal.
