Post Blast Scene Management - PBSM

Whenever an explosive device is detonated, or a hoax device has been cleared, it is vital to obtain as much intelligence and evidence from the event as possible. To achieve this and to coordinate effectively within a multi-agency team, a disciplined and proven approach needs to be followed.

This course has been specifically constructed to address all of the issues that need to be considered and understood, and rehearses the practices that need to be applied to maximise the outcome to UK National Occupational Standards (NOS).

At the end of the course the student will be able to demonstrate an understanding of:

  • Blast effects
  • Forensic recovery equipment and its use
