Search Training Courses

Search is a multi-faceted discipline with the generic aim of finding concealed objects or people.

ISSEE is a leading exponent of Search training, with ISSEE instructors having spent some 22 years plus as Search team advisors and operators in the British military, working in high-risk environments, which include Northern Ireland, the Balkans, the Falklands and the United Kingdom performing a counter-terrorist role.

Search and Security Foundation Course

2008 dates: 1 - 5 September, 17 - 21 November

2009 dates: 26 - 30 January, 1 - 5 June, 31 August - 4 September, 16 - 20 November

To prepare the student to operate in a competent manner during search operations, either individually or as a member of a search team.

Duration: 5 days
Qualifications Achieved: On successful completion of the course, students will receive ISSEE and City and Guilds certification
Student Group: This course is designed for individuals and groups who are involved in a variety of employments that require a basic knowledge of search such as police, security, fire and retail services
Pre Attendance Requirements: There are no pre requisites for this course
Aim: To prepare the student to operate in a competent manner during search operations, either individually or as a member of a search team
Content:

To educate students on the issues relating to Health & Safety in search operations.

To enable students to apply basic search procedures as a team member.

To enable students to operate and maintain basic search equipment for search operations.

To provide students with an overview of their legal responsibilities when conducting search and security operations.

To enable students to identify terrorist and criminal resources during search operations.

To enable students to be effective members of a security force or operation.

Search and Security Advanced Searcher Course

2008 dates: 8 - 12 September, 24 - 28 November

2009 dates: 2 - 6 February, 8 - 12 June, 7 - 11 September, 23 - 27 November

To prepare the student to operate in a competent manner during search operations, either individually or as a member of a search team.

Duration: 5 days
Qualifications Achieved: On successful completion of the course, students will receive ISSEE and City and Guilds certification
Student Group: This course is designed for individuals or groups who are involved in a variety of employments that require a higher knowledge of search such as police, security and retail trade.
Pre Attendance Requirements: Previous experience in search or completion of the ISSEE Search Foundation Course is required to attend this course. English Language Proficiency.
Aim: To enhance the knowledge gained on the foundation course so that a student can function as part of a search team at a higher level of search operation.
Content:

To educate students on the issues relating to Health & Safety in higher level search operations.

To enable students to apply advanced search procedures as a team member.

To enable students to operate and maintain specialist search equipment for search operations.

Pre Attendance Requirements: Previous experience in search or completion of the ISSEE Search Foundation Course is required to attend this course. English Language Proficiency.

High Risk Search Course

The aim of this 10 day course is to teach students the skills required for planning and the management of search operations in a high risk environment

Duration: 10 days

Student Group: This course is designed for individuals and groups who are involved in a variety of employments that require a higher knowledge of High-Risk Search such as police, security and military.
Pre Attendance Requirements: Previous experience in search or completion of the ISSEE Foundation Course is required to attend this course. English Language Proficiency.
Aim: To enhance the knowledge gained on the ISSEE Search Foundation Course so that a student can function as part of a search team at a higher risk of search operation

To enable students to apply High-Risk Search procedures as a team member.
