Search Training Courses
Search is a multi-faceted discipline with the generic aim of finding concealed objects or people.
ISSEE is a leading exponent of Search training, with ISSEE instructors having spent some 22 years plus as Search team advisors and operators in the British military, working in high-risk environments, which include Northern Ireland, the Balkans, the Falklands and the United Kingdom performing a counter-terrorist role.
Search and Security Foundation Course
2010 dates: 6 - 10 September, 15 - 19 October
2011 dates: 24 - 28 January, 11 - 15 April, 6 - 10 June, 5 - 9 September, 21 - 15 November
This 5 day course is designed to introduce the student to systematic search procedures. It is intended to prepare participants to operate in a competent manner during search operations, either individually or as a member of a search team. This course applies to search in terms of personal search, vehicle search and building search. This is a basic course and can be used by National organisations as a basis for the issuing of licences to qualified searchers.
This course is accredited by City and Guilds of London Institute and provides an academic recognition.

QUALIFICATIONS ACHIEVED
On successful completion of the course the individual will receive ISSEE and City & Guilds certification.
PRE ATTENDANCE REQUIREMENTS
The delegate must be proficient in English Language.
CONTENT
To introduce the student to the following:
* High and low explosives, explosive trains, explosive power and effects
* Issues relating to Health & Safety in search operations.
* Basic search procedures as a team member.
* Search equipment.
* Operational use and maintenance of equipment for search operations.
* An overview of the legal responsibilities when conducting search and security operations.
* Identification of terrorist and criminal resources discovered during search operations.

Search and Security Advanced Searcher Course
2010 dates: 13 - 17 September, 22 - 26 November
2011 dates: 31 January - 4 February, 18 - 22 April, 13 - 17 June, 12 - 16 September, 28 November - 2 December
The aim of this 5 day course is to enhance the knowledge gained on the foundation course so that a student can function as part of a search team at a higher level of search operation. The aim of this course is to teach students the skills required for supervising search operations. This is an advanced course which is very practically oriented. This course is accredited by City and Guilds of London Institute and provides an academic recognition.

High Risk Search Course
2010 dates: 20 September - 1 October
2011 dates: 7 - 18 February, 20 June - 1 July, 19 - 30 September, 5 - 16 December
This 10 day course is designed for personnel who conduct high risk operation involving Counter Terrorist or serious crimes. The aim of this course is to teach students the skills required for planning and the management of search operations in a high risk environment. This is an advanced course which is very practically oriented. in order to maintain control and to set high standards this course can be used by National organisations as a basis for the issuing of licences to qualified High Risk Searchers. We recommend that this licence should be renewed every 6 months either at the school in the UK or at the students' home location. This course is accredited by City and Guilds of London Institute and provides an academic recognition.
