Overview

This standard comprises the following elements:

This activity is likely to be undertaken by someone whose work role involves Weapons, Ordnance, Munitions or Explosives work activities. This includes people working as transport and general explosives operators.

Performance Criteria

1.Prepare the vehicle for loading
P1 work safely at all times, complying with health and safety, environmental and other relevant regulations, legislation and guidelines
P2 ensure that you have the correct transport documentation
P3 ensure the vehicle is ready to receive the load
P4 identify and address any special requirements for loading
P5 ensure that the correct safety equipment is available and that it is fit for purpose
P6 ensure that the loading area is suitable and safe
P7 ensure that the vehicle is in a suitable position for loading
P8 identify any problems with the loading and take appropriate action
