Overview

Supervise the receiving of explosive substances and/or articles into storage in accordance with approved procedures and practices.

You will be required to demonstrate that you can Supervise the receiving of explosive substances and/or articles into storage. Identifying the correct storage requirements for forecasted receipts of explosive substances and/or articles in accordance with the relevant workplace procedures.

This activity is likely to be undertaken by someone whose work role involves Weapons, Ordnance, Munitions or Explosives work activities. This includes those working as storage supervisors.

Performance Criteria

P1 work safely at all times, complying with health and safety, environmental and other relevant regulations, legislation and guidelines
P2 identify correctly the storage requirements for forecasted receipts of explosive substances and/or articles
P3 confirm that suitable storage locations are available
P4 produce a projected storage plan
P5 co-ordinate suitable transit, stabling, unloading and storage locations, as required
P6 identify appropriate staff and ensure their availability
P7 manage the allocation of handling equipment to meet all tasking requirements
P8 develop and implement a suitable routine for checking stock and storage and for carrying out spot checks
P9 resolve any problems within your level of authority
P10 confirm that the type, quality and quantity of the goods is in accordance with receipts forecast
P11 manage and control the resolution of any discrepancies identified on receipt
P12 ensure the appropriate response in accordance with organizational procedures where explosive substances and/or articles are received in a suspect or damaged state
P13 ensure that all documentation is correctly completed
