This standard covers the competences you need to carry out stock checks of explosive substances and/or articles in accordance with approved procedures and practices.
You will be required to demonstrate that you can gain appropriate authorization for access in order to stock check explosive substances and/or articles identifying all explosive substances and/or articles within scope of the stock check in accordance with approved procedures and practices.
This activity is likely to be undertaken by someone whose work role involves Weapons, Ordnance, Munitions or Explosives work activities. This includes those working as storage supervisors and operators.
P1 work safely at all times, complying with health and safety, environmental and other relevant regulations, legislation and guidelines
P2 gain appropriate authorization for access in order to stock check explosive substances and/or articles
P3 adhere to entry, exit and security procedures
P4 identify all explosive substances and/or articles within scope of the stock check
P5 identify any movement requirements before carrying out the stock check, and make arrangements for the movement
P6 carry out the stock check accurately
P7 report the findings from stock check promptly to the relevant person
K1 the health, safety and environmental and other statutory legislation, regulations and safe working practices and procedures governing explosivesand their implications for your area of work
K2 the relevance of personal protective equipment (PPE)
