This standard comprises the following:
1 Prepare and set up equipment
2 Produce profile data
This activity is likely to be undertaken by someone whose work role involves Weapons, Ordnance, Munitions or Explosives work activities. This includes blasting personnel.
1 Prepare and set up equipment
P1 work requirements are confirmed with relevant person(s) as to the extent and detail of the work to be undertaken.
P2 the area to be measured is identified accurately in accordance with the work specification.
P3 hazards and conditions that affect the work activity are identified and actions agreed with relevant person(s).
P4 the equipment to be used is confirmed as available, suitable and applicable to the work activity
P5 the equipment is prepared, located, set up and adjusted for the work activity in accordance with instructions, safety and work requirements.
P6 defects and damage of the equipment are recorded and appropriate action taken for any correction
P7 problems and conditions outside the responsibility of the jobholder are referred to relevant person(s)
P8 work is carried out to approved procedures and practices and in compliance with statutory requirements
