Our vehicle area features a large area of hard-standing that is ideal for many types of search training as well as the simulation of hostage situations and other emergency incidents.
A prominent feature of this area is a fully equipped railway carriage. This vehicle is a 40 tonne Virgin West Coast carriage which is equipped with first-class seating and tables at one end and a full commercial kitchen with serving area at the other end. This is a great vehicle for performing search operations, due to the varied nature of the interior, which also includes a lavatory, numerous cupboards and cubby holes plus a range of storage compartments accessed from outside.
The vehicle area includes a number of different vehicles increasing the range of operational scenarios that can be practiced by students. These vehicles include:
- A double-decker bus
- A midi-type bus
- A fuel tanker
- A variety of cars & other miscellaneous vehicles
