This is a service provided to both Military and commercial organisations who wish to manage the logistics of unwanted, shelf life expired or obsolte stockpiles of bulk explosives and ammunition.
ISSEE has the ability to provide full logistic and technical solutions to breakdown, dispose, or demilitarize any type of explosive or military grade ammunition, pyrotechnics or ordnance. Working with accredited ex military and commercial explosives engineers and logistic partners, ISSEE can inspect and assist with preparations for transportation to our disposal or storage sites where explosive engineers will create cost effective, environmentally friendly, and HSE approved disposal solutions. A key feature being the subseuent reuse or recycling of explosives, containers and packaging, making ISSEE's service exremely environmentally friendly.
ISSEE is particularly proud that it can conduct this unique service using sole UK facilities if preferred, though it has, and can deliver disposal services overseas if required or if transportation costs are a driver.
For customers who have particular military, commercial explosives or ammunition disposal requirements, ISSEE can also offer a design consultancy service, to assist them with developing their own solutions if preferred.
Solutions include breakdown dismantling, burning or high order demolition, with subsequent processing of any and all residue.
All demilitarization processes and explosives disposals conducted by ISSEE are designed to meet the required UK standards and legal requirements for safety and environmental considerations, or higher, to meet local or other National Standards if they apply.
CASE STUDY
Explosives Remediation Project
ISSEE recently undertook a remediation task for a major Defence industry client in conjunction with a long term partner.
The task involved devising an innovative method of explosive entry into glands inside large stainless steel RDX mixing vessels. The task was completed successfully with minimum disruption to the client's ongoing processes, and resulted in a client recognition award for innovation being made to our partner and ourselves.
ISSEE recognises that industry frequently has need for swift solutions to uncommon probelms and, with our explosives engineering facility, is able to address these issues and produce HSE approved workable and economical solutions in a timely manner whilst remaining within the safely parameters and constraints imposed by MSER and JSP 482.
